Just wondered whether anyone on here  works for Homebase. Do you know if it's going to be possible to buy online  again? They say they're developing a new site but it's been ages.

Yes, if  the website takes as long as it does for someone to answer the 'phone  in their stores you're in for a very long wait but....at the bottom of the page it says they will e-mail you the Newsletter with all the latest news and happenings  etc. so the date   may  be in there - it's worth a try.

Thanks Cetti, they actually answered the phone quickly this morning  - but then it took 2 'holds' to sort out my question!

Oh lucky you!

It's usually quicker for us to walk there - only to be told by someone who looks about 12 that the item we went for is discontinued :-D

Oh Cetti - just had to call B&Q - left by similar 12 yr old listening to greensleeves for 10mins until she came back with only half the information.  (bangs head)

I don't drive & all my DIY stores are spread out so I like to know whether it's going to be worth a journey or not.

(Have registered for the Homebase newsletter thanks).

I have worked for Homebase for 2yrs now and I was just reading the complaints their about the lack of knowledge of staff in Homebase. I have to say that why doesn't anyone realise that we are different from B&Q!! We are not trained in any way about any of the products and I find it really annoying at times at the laziness of people and that they expect us to be a walking dictionary, to know everything about every product!!
