i have had my triton bermuda 9.5 electric shower for 8 years which is used every day without any problems, however, 5 weeks ago the hot shower i was used to having became noticably cooler until it was just warm, then 2 weeks ago the water kept cutting on and off every 20 secs or so and took me ages to complete my shower, i had the odd day when it worked ok but still with cooler temp, then last week it has stopped working completely. the power light in the ceiling still shows red (on), but nothing else and there isn't any other switches to accidentally turn off. can someone please help, do i need to buy a new shower and if so, do i get a plumber or an electician to take out the old one and put in the new, or is this just a simple job for the existing shower to be fixed....also any ideas on the cost for anything you think it might be. thankyou.

It sounds like your thermostat has gone. Don't know how much they are these days, but when that's happened to me in the past, it's been cheaper to buy a new shower.
Definately cheaper to buy a replacement - I did a few years back and fitted it on my own but the electrics where a bit scary & I did deliberatley buy the same make ( diff model) just to make sure the water inlet was in the same place.
