I have come across some old 1960's D.I.Y. and Homemaker and Hobbies Magazines, some dating from the mid to late nineteen fiftees. Although I have looked through some of them, they arn't really any use to me.
It seems a shame to throw them out as they are all in good condition. Id be happy to give them away but Im stumped as to what to do with them. Any ideas or suggestions?

Try e-bay. I`m sure there are plenty of collectors out there who will make a bid for them. I used to buy them in the 50s regularly and I found them very informative. Best of luck.
If no offers give them to a charity shop, theirs plenty of old codgers who will but them to bring back old memories of the `Good old days`

Thanks Shylock, I did try ebay and freecycle to no avail. So I think your suggestion of a charity shop would be a possible solution. What sort of charity shops do these oldies frequent I wonder? No offence meant here of course.
You could try Gumtree, http://www.gumtree.com/
We "old codgers" do not have any particular taste in charity shops. I am not aware that any of us look at old magazines but these might well be of practical use.
How about your Doctors' surgery waiting room - they usually have old mags although maybe not that old!
