I have a shower that runs from the taps in my bath but it is powerful and good enough to use as a proper shower...What i want to know is..Could i use the shower if it is only half tiled above my bath and the rest is silk emulsion? A shower curtain would be used and the tiles are sealed properly with sealant around the bath.
Would the water cause damage to the wall or would it be ok? water would not be constantly battering wall.

Thanks :)

You could always buy a piece of clear UPVC and screw it to the wall where there might be a risk of the water touching the wall.
or repaint with a proper bathroom paint that repels moisture..although a perspex sheet would be better as per boxy...
