Does anyone know a website where I can find up to date information about the amount of property sales per month, and whether this is going up or down? Am not interested in property prices, just number of sales.

There are a number of sources you could try that monitor the property market such as the office of statistics at www.statistics.gov.uk or the National Assocation of Estate Agents at www.naea.co.uk - Hope this helps.
