newspaper and vinegar in the water
Question Author
do you put it on with the newspaper or just dry it with that?
i just use warm water, dash of washing up liquid, 2 dashes of vinegar and dry off with kitchen roll.
Hello bexte.
For some reason, my answer to your question has appeared on Home & Garden, under "Anything good on the web?"
Hi
I did mine last night and for the first time ever managed to get them streak free!
I just washed them with a spongey cloth in hot water with fairy liquid, and when they had completely dried, used a dry cloth and some spray on window cleaner.

I think if you dont get all the dirt off, that is what contributes to streaking, which i think was my problem before!
As I said somewhere else recently, plain warm water applied with clean J-cloth followed by wipe over with one of those absolutely magical E-Cloths
Figi is right. They are also called Star Fibre Cloths, it depends who makes and sells them. They make floor mops too out of the same stuff. We bought some 10 years ago and never used detergent or windowlene since. Magical!
Just do a Google search for E-Cloths. They may seem pricey, but you save loads on cleaning products because you only use water with E-Cloths.
quick tip, do one side of the window up & down. the other side left to right. any streaks / marks you can tell what side they are on.
