The previous owners built a brick fountain in our back garden. I'd like to render over it to make it look like a Spanish terracotta style fountain. How can I colour the plaster/stucco to be terracotta coloured other than painting it? I'd like to pigment the cement mix if possible.

You can use a mortar dye but this will fade in time especially if immersed in running water. It would probably be better to find a dark coloured pit sand and mix with white cement.
