I bought the above to save me putting on the heating all the time.
Can anyone advise on the running cost of this please.
It says 75 watts on the label.
Thank you. :)

2p per hour if it is running at full belt the whole hour.

Less if it has a thermostat that cuts out when it reaches temperature.

It's important to keep warm

Thank you so much Barry :)

It has  settings 1 to 10, I am using it on 6 at the moment.

Spoil yourself!  Turn it up to 10 :)

I'm all for heating pads, electric blankets, body warmers with built in heat pads and all the other gadgets but it is important that you are not sat in a cold room breathing in frigid air - which I know some people do.  Not good for people and not good for the house.

Sorry, I'm sure you are aware and not watching your breath turn in to a cloud.

Is the rest of your house not cold ferlew ? Although I understand your aim to reduce heating bills .

I did actually turn my heating down to 18C because it was making me a tad breathless at 21/22C, but with having Raynauds I am finding that there is no need to have it toasty hot as the pad helps keep my hands warm enough. So much comfort from such a small thing, bliss :)
(Even better now I know it's not costing a bomb to run it)

That explains the wrist warmers - Raynaud's is a blerdy nuisance.  Do you get it in your toes and feet, too?

My wife finds a tot of brandy helps her symptoms although some other sufferers say alcohol aggravates the problem.

My wife suffered from "white finger", as does her brother. She just happened to mention to our doctor that it had got worse since she went onto tablets for high blood pressure and got the response "Good heavens, that's beta blockers, I'll take you off them immediately. She's never had white finger since.

Anne, no the rest isn't cold, it's bearable for the short periods I spend in kitchen, bathroom etc.
Barry - not so much in my toes when I'm indoors, but hell if I'm out in cold weather.
Bhg - my consultant has just prescribed Nifedipine for when it gets really bad.

Just to add, the Raynauds is part of another condition I have....C.R.E.S.T. syndrome.

Nasty, hope the Nifedipine helps

Just don't get too cold ferlew, I'm pleased your  new heating pad is giving you some relief .
