I've just moved and we have some mould in the corner of one room, someone said you can get a clear sealer that you paint on the outside of the house and then inside too. Does anyone know what this is called and whether it's any good?

Sounds like an excellent way of trapping the dampness in the wall!

First you need to find out where the dampness is coming from and fix it. Usual suspects are leaking downpipes, overflowing gutering etc.

Then you need to make sure that it gets plenty of ventillation and it should dry out.

Beware of quick fixes

Thanks for that. The guttering seems fine - and we just had the roofing replaced. We are waiting on a ladder to check out everything up there though, maybe that will show us where the problem is. the stuff we are lloking for though seems to have come in in the ads by goggle on the right >

cheers,
