oh yes indeed, some of my best friends are lizards, but that doesn't mean I want them in my house.

Pools, don't get me started on pools... I don't know how clearly you can see this picture of my garden

http://i40.tinypic.com/25jwhoy.jpg

but you can make out a couple of patches of grass very much longer than the rest, plus dark patches on the path that are damp... and all this leads direct (and slightly uphill) to neighbour's pool over the fence, which must be leaking somehow but can i figure out how? No.
Can't get the piccy jno but I know it's not a laughing matter for you. 2yrs ago we went to a posh do in a lovely house but the cesspit was overflowing under the main lawn and people unknowlingly were walking through it and standing there sipping their pimms and gradually sinking up to their ankles in poo, well we spotted it, so avoided it and we did laugh, the poor owners were trying to put down carpets and anything for people to stand on, but it was hopeless. Didn't stink though luckily!!
Ah yes, I can see it now, at least its green and pretty looking. You would be surprised how many pools leak, ours does slightly but as it only affects out land that's ok. But our cesspit was built at the bottom of our land which is higher than the nneighbours so that it it leaks it affect them and not us, well it was the builder who decided that not us!
I must apologise for the typos guess it's the new cordless keyboard - certainly not moi!
mmm, it's a very odd situation you've got there jno...I just have to ask, was that pic taken seconds before the person standing on the chair (at the bottom/top whichever way you refer to it) had a nasty accident or is everything at a jaunty angle in your area?

Oh lordy, they didn't let you loose with a pair of secateurs neti? Are you sure it's the overhanging shrubbery that postie can't get past? I don't think I'd like to be dealing with lizards...I don't like things like that...or crocodiles and dinosaurs. Luckily the orange peel & mothballs seem to be keeping them out at the moment. I am doing battle though with an army of ants which turned up right outside the back door. Nippon seems to have quitened 'em down so now I need something to block the hole that they were appearing from....I'll cut the toe end off one of Vin's socks, that should block it nicely & they won't want to get near that.

oops, sorry neti, re the Ladies..(.the LoL's haha)...It's a new series to ITV 1 but had been on ITV3. Yes, Kingdom's sis has been 'troubled' all her life but I think she plays the part well. Apart from Stephen Fry my favourite has to be Lyle, well done to the person who saw him in that part 'cos in Emmerdale he was nondescript really.
ha - no, just the wide angle, it tends to distort things in the corners. The gardener on the chair is standing as solidly as anyone can after a flexjeq6p[scopy.
Robi I do not use secateurs, I use my trusty breadknife for all things garden!! One slice with that (ha ha no pun intended) and everything falls to the ground!! Oh and I also use stepladders!!
errrmmmm.....<I'm gonna have to ask again>...so is that you then jno 'cos whoever it is looks stikkier than I am & about 20-something ...have you been telling us porkies? Or was the 'oscopy a family occasion?

oh heaven help Ibiza...there she goes off to dead head some pansies...

Who let neti loose with a bread knife .I bet the locals all cower in their haciendas when she starts waving that around .
Tunelling into here is worse than swimming round Jno's garden .
Have you got a run off somewhere from an outbuilding ?
We have a bit that is always a bit wetter because of the water from the shed guttering .When it rains ( which is most days here lately :) the water goes down a pipe under the ground .
Are you with Thames Water ? I would get a water man to come and have a look . They stick rods and cameras down .

Hope you are all fit and fettling .I've been roaming through the BBC archive .Brilliant site .I only discovered it by accident .
I've laughed myself silly at an old clip of Jan Leeming interviewing a woman about knitting back in the 70's . Her hairstyle was amazing and she was very particular about her tension .
Have a nice weekend all ..Snip Snip for now .
I never saw the first series of Kingdom, so how can Simon have fathered the sister's baby? I know they were step bros and sis so guess they weren't blood related but I'm confused!
Simon isn't the father .He was the father of Honors baby .Although he was there when she was born .
We don't know who the father of Beatrices baby is .
But we may soon find out in episode 3 when Beatrice sets up a phone sex line to help pay for her daughter Petra's school fees, and his horrified when Petra's father phones.

Thanks for that shan ey i only saw the 2nd series apparently and thought it was the first. Is Honor in this 3rd series?
that must be another optical illusion, though I must say I can't see it; the gardener is not at all stikky. Only thin person here is jno jnr and that won't last. We did get a plumber in, Shaney, but there aren't any pipes out there, at least not on our side of the fence - him with the pool may have dozens of them pointed at me, of course.

What is this fluff that's been blowin' in the wind the last few days? It's nothing from my garden and I can't see where it's coming from but it looks as if someone has blown up a kapok mattress factory. It's mostly too big to get up my nose, otherwise I'd have to resort to home anti-hayfever remedies <Robinia knows whereof I speak> but it sure feels like being out in a blizzard.
hi shaney....I'm soldiering on mi dear, I don't exactly feel ill today, but just not right either & I would say my hayfever's been getting me down but probably best not to mention that......

It's probably fluffy poplar seeds jno, you're not the first to comment about that, it must be a good year, or bad, depending on how you look at it...thanks for clearing up the mystery of the gardener, maybe it's just my screen
I'll have it cleaned toot sweet

No Neti I don't think Honor is in it this time .I did think at one time she may have got it together with Lyle but I think she probably went back to wherever she came from which was Ireland I think .You can get series 1 on DVD you know .
Well ..I don't know what we are going to do about your swamp Jno We could send Vinny round to bale you out with his empty tinnies :)
Sorry to hear you are under the weather Robinia . It's a funny old day here too.One minute the sun comes out and it's lovely and I dash in the garden only to find it disappears behind a cloud .
They've got antihistamine on special offer bogof at the mo' in Superdrug so I've stocked up .
Don't laugh but over here they recommend that you put vaseline just inside your nostrils and that catches a lot of the allergens, try it. Hope all of you are well and happy, get better soon Robi, you were all so nice to me in my darkest hour!
Love your window cleaner Robinia!
a'noon garden goddesses (& god)...luverly day but a bit warm for Chas so we've come in for a while, he will insist on checking every blade of grass & chasing every bee without his sunhat on. I'm feeling a bit better today thanks all.

Hi marm, long time no chat, hope you're well....puggy doesn't do the corners very well does he? :o)

neti, were you nosing in my drawers when we were in the salon?! Thanks for mentioning the vaseline...I'm not using it but you did remind me I'd had a free sample of something that works on the same principle Hay Max & I'd clean forgotten! It only took me half an hour to find it, you could have told me where it was. I'll give it a whirl....I hope I'm not allergic to it, haha.

ermmm, shaney...I think netimacheti's been at it again

hm, not sure I want lots of little plants and animals getting stuck to Vaselline in my nostrils
