Morning all - just back from Endocrinology, thyroid still not right - hence the fatsia and fatigue, strongear pills, I'm walking on air next to jno!!
Endocrinology,...is that a ibiza night club..!(:O)
hello Vincent ya monkey...I knew I'd caught a whiff of hai karate in the air this morning :o)
well, I've been on MeTube: there was a screen in front of me in which I could see all the ins and outs; but I didn't look. The results were fine - just one little pilette, which is what I always suspected, but they had to check for any malignancies higher up.

ugh

The good news is that I am orf cruising the Adriatic in a couple of weeks, and a little pome has just arrived in my inbox. I quote:

The time has come to pack your clothes
and forget about the blues.
The ship is stocked, ready & waiting for
you to start your cruise.
Just kick off your shoes and grab a drink
or have a 3 course lunch.
Forget the stress, the daily strain & the
credit crunch.
Whilst at sea, I guarantee that you will have a lot of fun.
So go out onto the deck
and watch the setting sun.
So we wish you bon voyage - oh and by the way,
we'd like to thank you once again
for choosing www.cruise.co.uk

aaaahhhh!
Morning All and Hi Vinny You just can't keep away can you :-) Not that I want you to it's good to see you. Hope you are keeping well.

I had a good day at Sheringham yesterday. The weather was quite fine until about 4 when it began to rain and when we got back to Derby it was persisting down. We walked for a couple of hours along the coastal path which was quite picturesque. We found a pub called The 2 Lifeboats (I Think) where we had a great carvery. I also bought some cheap begonias from a farm shop on the way there.

Today I'm going to join up with my author cousin who is up here on holiday. He is going to give a talk tonight to a ladies group to which my sister belongs. He's going to be talking about the history of the passport which probably sounds borning to some people but he is a bit of a comedian and it could be quite an interesting evening.

It's quite sunny today and I've potted my plants.

See yer later 'gater(s)! x

Morning everybody...
toast is on the table,if slightly burnt.
joke to wake you up.
(stolen from CB.
A woman is given a hospital tour. She looks in a room & sees a man masterbating "Thats awful" she says to the Doctor. He explains that the man has a incurable condition. His testicles fill with semen so fast he has to do it at least 5 times a day or he will be in awful pain. "Poor man" says the woman. In the next room a nurse is giving a man oral sex. "Explain that?" she says to the Doctor, The Doctor says"Same condition but he's with BUPA"
(:O)now dont forget to dust your fat japonicas...!
Vincent! I can see I'll have to tighten your leash...tut... :o)
One of my neighbours (78) makes me laugh, her home helps tell her filthy jokes & she jots down a few key words so she can tell me when they've left. The problem is she's usually forgotten the bits in between so all I get is an old woman on the phone spouting a string of expletives, hahaha. That leads us to have a 'word of the week' - unrepeatable in public - which we then have to work into all our conversations....all very mature! :o)

Sounds as though you had a good day Jude, I thought you might be coming home on a raft in all that rain. There's been some bad flooding in Derbys I see.
And it's good news that you got to the bottom of your problem jno but you know you could have asked in B&S for an instant diagnosis & saved yourself all the trauma of an oscopy...

Right, where's matron? I've dead headed the lobelia (she's sooo pernickety) & court martialled the salvias for falling out of line so if it's all the same I'd like to be excused gardening duties for the rest of today.

Morning weeders
Bright and sunny ...for now ! Good job Jude wasn't in Norfolk yesterday .
If I could have got hold of the weatherperson who predicted "the long hot summer" I would have made them stand here sans brolly while it thundered, lighteninged ,chucked it down and then chucked hailstones the size of golfballs on us .
All we needed really was a tornado and a bit of snow and we would have had the full Monty .
Nice to see you Vinny ...first bit of toast I've had for ages :)
Hope you are all OK ..see you later I have some important cake shopping to do .
No slacking now ..I've got a special elf to keep an eye on you all while I'm out .
Got it all wrong didn't I. My cousin's talk was about becoming an author not passports. He does do one on passports as well. Anyway we had a good night and today we are going to meet him and his partner in Ashbourne where he is staying for the week. He is on holiday from Canterbury where he lives.

Hope you are all well today. It's lovely here.

Hope you have a good trip Jno

It's my Birmingham outing tomorrow cooking and food shows. I am having a busy week aren't I!

Anyway hope you all have a good weekend.

See yer later 'gater(s)!

I hope you've got a visa for Ashbourne, Jude, wouldn't want you deported as an illegal asylum seeker, the people in the News section would bep ouring manure all over you...

I've got some painting to do, just white over the top of a slightly more faded white, so it shouldn't take long, but I've just had to put a third coat on a window frame and I still think it's going to turn out patchy. It must be something to do with my technique. I wonder if Rembrandt had this sort of trouble painting. God knows how long it will take me to do the doors and stuff.
arternoon all its freezing here, poor old tort doesn't know what hit her. One of my favourite memories of my Mum is sharing dirty jokes with her...She had been a cook in the Army during the war so nothing much shocked her...can't seem to get up any energy today, good job I don't have to lol. DH is away for a few days so i can live on junk food and let the housework go hang...rather like when he is here really :)
Freezing woofy?...it's been glorious here (bit cloudy now) & I've been as dynamic as a biddy can be. Have a <<ping>> dinner & put your feet up.

That sounds like my diy jno...no such thing as one coat in my house...unless we're talking wardrobe contents.

Ashbourne used to be a lovely place to go for a drink. I've not been for a while but the last time I went to revisit an old haunt they'd turned it into one of these wooden floored, brightly lit, 'trendy set' places...not a gas lamp, paisley carpet or crinkly old landlady in a nylon blouse in sight....tut, what's the world coming to?

oh, btw, I took the house phone out with me this morning...a first for it & I think it enjoyed the experience, maybe we'll do it again sometime.
She's of her trolly..well...it at to happen some time..he he..!
I love yer all....luv from the west country..!
YO (:o)
<<smacks Vinny round the ear'ole with tambourine>>

Wake up....!!
Morning all my lovelies! Yesterday was a lost day to me as the previous night Mt N and I met up with some tee total friaends for dinner and we got through 3 bottles of Blanc Pescador between the 2 of us, and condidering that half a bottle once a week make ne ill, you can imagine the state of me yesterday, <<ugh - shudders at the memory>>. Never ever again, I'll leave all this partying to jude.

Now then, this" Ladies of letters" you saw after Kingdom, was it a new one. I've managed to watch Kingdom, but it's a bit silly, well the sister is, but I love Stephen Fry (what is it with me and gay guys??) and no, I'm not too fond of Mr N so he must be straight!! am off to climb a ladder and cut back my neighbour's bourganvilla as it's growing all over the lane and the postman won't come past!!
Having just done the overflowing bushes, I decide to have a quick dip as I was rather hot, I was swimming away merrily (bearing in mind that one can only do 2-3 strokes before one bangs ones nose on end of pool) when I espied a poor little lizard struggling in the trap, well much as I don't like them I couldn't see it drown, so I had to walk round to the top of the pool housing and I don't do heights so was crawling , Itook the basket out but the lizard slipped out and was now drowing, so I had to tip the basket back in and try to manouvere it under the flailing lizard, luckily I did without hurting it but by now it was just floating, I tipped it onto the tiles at the edge and it just lay there with left arm and heading going up and down and nothing else moving, but after about 5 mins it scuttled away, I was so pleased, but it has better not come into the house else it'll get bashed wif me broom!!!
