I have sold my home in North West London and will be moving shortly, but haven't yet found a new one yet so will be renting for a while.
I've taken quotes for packing, transporting and storage of all my furniture and bits and pieces. Wow, it is so expensive!
Do any members have tips or info on how to do the move and storage more economically without employing just "a man with a van".

Questman.....I can't help with your question but if I may I will give you a tip. When you box everything for storage number each box.....that way if you put forty boxes into storage you will know immediately if there is one missing when you find your new home.
I didn't do that when I put my home into storage and I now know that I didn't get one box back.....but it can take ages to realise that stuff is missing....x
Have a look at this option Questman.....
