Any suggestions for what I might have lying around the house that I can use in lieu of horticultural fleece to protect a Camelia in bud from the frost?

Bubblewrap, old curtains.
Hessian / Burlap ? Support with cane tepee.
Is the Camelia small enough to fit inside a cane supported pillowcase lined with newspaper?
Bubblewrap.
Anything you can easily wrap around it really....it is hopefully just a temporary measure until the frost is over or you can get some fleece.
Unless the area is very sheltered, using a material that allows the wind to pass through may be worth considering, if its for any length of time.

Ooh, I'd forgotten I'd posted this!

I'm reluctant to use bubble wrap as it could easily get sweaty when the sun hits. Too big for a pillow case but a I have seen some hessian knocking around....I'll go with that.

Thanks all.
Why protect Camellia? She should never be Queen !! Oh ok, must go to specsavers.... The Camellia I had in my front garden was never covered/protected. It's a south facing garden and never really needed any help. I suppose bubblewrap is as good as anything. Good luck. Should be in bloom soon. xx
