Good morning early birds!

Saturday morning and it's dull and overcast. Looks like rain later, not too later at that. I'm on the canal at nine, so it will start raining about half eight, just as I'm leaving home. Back to what is becoming normal then!
Have a happy everyone.

In horse racing terms I think it could be described as "the going is soft"!! The slugs have eaten everything in the garden so this summer has officially been cancelled. We have the Olympic flame here in Brighton and Hove on Monday and Tuesday so we can be guaranteed more rain for that . xx
good morning boaty & wendi same sort of weather here just taken out the mutts in case it gets worse I have only encountered a few folk waiting for a
bus but they look miserable too, this weather puts a damper on everything.
First cuppa of the day tastes real good, no plans for today go and get the papers, visit the butcher who is a jolly chap and looks like Desperate Dan of the comic fame.get some fat balls for the birds outside they have finished the ones out there and now on the verge of mutiny, then I shall come home and attempt the Telegraph crosswords.Roll on winter the sun might appear.
Have a good day.

Morning jan xx
Oh, this is getting silly with all this wet stuff isn't it? I wouldn't be surprised if a few generations down the line, babies were born with brollies on their noggins.
Good news, FIL was discharged from hoppytal yesterday after nearly a fortnight,
the NHS are wonderful and the staff are just briiliiant.

Morning Dee xx You weren't there when I started to type either lol
There was an article on the Beeb yesterday, even the birds who should be in Iceland are still here due to the weird weather. (I think godwits was one of the breeds, and the loong black something or other. the names are just wonderful)
How is Mr Chief Stout? Still with his 9am brekkie?

Good morning all you early birds!
Pleasant here in Kendal, but dulling in a bit.
Grandchildren's pyjama party at 10.30 this morning. Two of them share a party as their birthdays are so close. No boys this year, so shouldn't be quite as raucus (sp) as it was last year. They are only 6 and 7 year olds.

Good Morning to all - just spitting here at the moment, the rain that is. Looks like another wet one down here but improving later this afternoon to tee up a drawing day tomorrow - I managed one and a half hours yesterday....
Today brings lunch with my sister down over the River Fal - a rather spectacular place as it is built like a huge boathouse with the front windows 25ft high, cantilevered out over their beach......doubt we will be dining on the patio though and whether we will be eating pasties or one of her infamous pies.
