Mmmm must be keen cyclists.lol
well it won't be very large so you should be able to fish it out through the entrance hole
Sorry Quinie couldn't resist,You could try these professionals.

They can get very excited if you interfere with them, so be careful, most DIY stores sell a wasp nest destroyer, wasp nests in bird boxes are particularly suited to these products, the foam ones are good, remember its not always the wasps in the nest that get you, its also the ones returning to the nest, they sneak up from behind so wait until late evening when they are all in the nest, or early morning.

"Bike" what is that all about????
It's the collective noun for wasps (bizarrely)
Just shows how you are never to old to learn new things! I had never heard of a wasp bike.

I'm very happy to have learnt a new word too
A wasp bike? is that to do with their life cycle?

Thank you all for the advice. Yes,dennisb66, I realized as soon as I pressed submit that I should have put nest instead of bike!! Up here I've always known it as a bike. We used to be able to phone the council and senior citizens got the work done free but now only council house tenants and people on benefit are eligible. I think this is a wee bit unfair considering we pay council tax but no use moaning .Thanks again
Well I never!!!!

I was a pest Control Officer running my own company for 13 years and attended so many courses and seminars and treated many thousands of wasp nests but never heard of that term, A bike!!!

We live and learn! :-)

Hi,ratter15, you must live in England??
I certainly do :-)

That's why then. I think it's a Scottish word-we have a different language up here,eg the Doric.
i know them as a bike too but spelt 'byke" (hampshire)
Ive had a sheltered life!!

Hi woodgang, Ithink we spell it both ways . Thanks again everyone. Must get on my bike and get up the street for my messages (shopping)!
If the wasps weren't coming into the house or being a nuisance, i'd probably just leave them to it and put up another nestbox.
sorry rofl, but i had to laugh at ratters reply of "they can get very excited if you interfere with them"

Indeed!
Yes BOO but you must have the right knack, they are known to have a bit of a sting in the tail if you do it wrong!!!

You are soooo smutty lolol
