Hi, ive been looking at a 3 bedroom house, will just be myself living there so obviously 2 rooms radiators would be off. Was just wondering what monthly outgoings would be like on average? I know it all depends how you live etc but just a general idea would be great. Im a first time buyer and really have no idea so just putting some figures together. I work 4 days a week 8-8 and have 1 shower a day. Only thing ive worked out is council tax - with 25% off - would be around £95/month. And TV license £24/month? What about gas/electric/water?
Thanks for any help you can give xx

TV licence is £13.50 a month if paid quarterly which is the best way as monthly attracts an extra premium .
Water on a meter should be £5 a month or so, fuel cost depends on if you have gas or electric central heating and water. I would say around £100 a month should be about right if you are out all day so have the heating low.
I live, with my wife, in a 3-bed detached bungalow. We are retired, so that means that we are at home for most of the time.
Our expenses for gas during the period 28/01/2011- 12/01/2012 were: £568.39.
Expenses for electricity during the period 27/01/2011-12/01/2012 were:
£328.26.
I hope that this gives you some idea of what expenses you might have.
