A few people on here were reporting problems with their robinia frisias earlier this year & I wondered how you went on, did they recover? Is it now happening to others too?
I'm absolutely gutted to see my tree has developed some brown spots & curling mainly on it's lower branches & more on the side that gets the east wind. Seems that, according to
this information I've found (in particular see 11th post) it's a problem made caused/worse by this awful weather we've had last yr & this (up to now).

Hi woofy, I didn't mean to leave you with the gremlins!
That sounds like me shaney...my friend over the road often has to get up to 'go' or cool off in the night & she'll mention it if she's seen my light on. These past few nights I've woken up for a sudoku interlude...the funny thing is I've noticed the next day that sometimes I filled the whole thing in but most of it was wrong, hahaha..

Hey Jude (haha) don't you go setting up ya teepee outside the cake shop, they're due to re-open tomorrow aren't they?

<lights a sandalwood & charcoal fire in neti's tent>
did you watch Joanna on the Nile this week neti? She sat over a smoky fire which the brides do...apparently, it erm, narrows things down a bit.... ☺
morning all, no probs Robi, i expect it went onto the other computer which I didn't check yesterday. sadly i too have lost my Robinia, it struggled last year and finally expired. There's a garden down the road who have lost theirs too, have decided not to replace, much as I love them until its known what is causing it.....but isn't it a lovely spring?
Question Author
morning wiggywams...get your vests back on it's gonna be chilly again at the weekend.

My robinia's still battling on woofy (this threads 2 yrs old)...there was quite a bit of leaf fall & dead wood last year & I thought that might be the last time it I'd see it alive but it's just coming into leaf now & it's looking hopeful. I hope the leaves stay on, maybe the cold winter will have given it a boot up the roots. Yes, the spring flowers are fabulous, the cherry blossom's a real picture, it's a real shame my neighbour's not here, he always enjoyed seeing it....or maybe he still can, who knows?
Morning all, yes I agree, once Robinia has gone, do not replace it!!

Yes Robi I saw part of the Nile then it cut off, I thought it a bit dodgy sitting over firewood (you'd better keep away from that place, you don't want THAT to be the last thing you see!!!!!) but I could'nt understand why they did it, so it's to narrow things down a bit, hmmm, will have to think about that one!

Had another fabulous night out last night, taking it a bit quieter today - but we'll probably have another night out!! I have never eaten or drank or much, the weight is piling on and I really cannot blame the old thyroid for this!!!!
tcha, well, I added a post last night but it refused to appear, even though I could post on other people's threads. Perhaps I have been blackballed. It was all about how tulippy Holland was and how nice the weather was and so on.
oh, and about how I was suddenly surrounded by monochrome women everywhere I go...
I think your post is there now.
have you all seen this?
http://www.theanswerb...k/Question888897.html
that's weird jno, I read you post this morning...about Holland smelling of skunk...now I can't see it.
ha, I've found it, it somehow got attached to the previous biddy thread, which I had open in another window... why does it do that??? Oh well, never mind (but I'm closing the other window right now so it doesn't happen again). Yes, less dog poo in Amsterdam than in days of yore but a lot more dope everywhere.
oh good, that means that neither of us are going mad (?is going mad)
Question Author
you is both mad ;o)
I'm never sure when it's is or are...or 'If I were you' or 'if I was you' but you're probably used to Robi speak by now.

Welcome back jno...I don't need dope I'm naturally dopey. I've got Avatar dvd to watch this weekend if the weather turns ugly, Tarquin's lent it to me. I'm not sure it's my thing but I'll watch it in case he asks questions :o)

jno, you is one of us now

Have just been out to lunch - I shall miss all this luxury when Mr N arrives! Daughter has got a good job in Thompsons (Tui) so hopefully all will be ok now. She has to fly to Barca tonight (urgent business ) and back on Sunday in time for work on Monday. She's taken all my spare cash just when I was going to treat myself to something nice!!!

Kit, hope you are OK! My back keeps twingeing when I do little things, hope it doesn't ' go out until Mr N is back!
Afternoon everybiddy. It's now been raining for some time. I took a walk down to the chiropedist to have me 'plates' done. She has seen to the corn in between my toes and has said there's no guarantee it wont come back. Mind you my feet feel great now they've been done/
Had a good night last night seeing my bro play. It was very cosy and informal and we had a good laugh and he played all sorts classical and singing stuff. Got home about 11.30. Then couldn't sleep so I ended up watching Jeremy Vine on telly at about 3.00 What utter rubbish. Never again!!
Now for a cuppa ......:o)
Daughter has been taken to airport by her ex! saves me the trouble. Robi will email you tomorrow with the result!!! fingers crossed!!

Off for a glass (or two) of wine!
Evening all
Such as it is ,raining and dull here .
Welcome back Jno .I see you spent your trip in a haze .Are sure you didn't take Vinny with you ?
Nothing doing here .My computer keeps freezing for some reason . I may have to risk asking a question in technology if it keeps doing it , where I suppose they'll correct any wrong spelling and confuse me with techie speak .
shaney, I keep getting messages telling me Adobe 10 is having problems with a 'script on this page' ('this page' is invariably an AB page). I tell it to skip it and it does but it's a bug. Ger.
That sounds like the thing I keep getting Jno.Then it asks me if I want to abort the script .I click on it and then everything's OK for a while then I start getting eggtimers again , and yes,it invariably happens in AB .I keep trying to copy and paste what it actually says.
Something about an Adobe "movie" script ?
