what date was the last doodle bomb (V1 - V2) to hit london during WW2. ie month and year.

Seemingly, when the first V2 descended with
no warning, the public was pacified with the
explanation that the explosion was caused by a
leaking gas-main.

Thereafter all subsequent V2s were known as
'flying gas-mains'.
