What I am not certain of, TTT is that someone other than Churchill "may" have done as well or even better.

Indeed, PP. My grandparents didn't enjoy the fun of finding crazy Tans in their home demanding food and then shooting the few livestock they had.
Churchill ordered release of prisoners, mental health patients and many ex-soldiers to go to Ireland as Tans. Including Gerald Smyth who trained his men to shoot any Irish person who was too slow to raise their hands when ordered or who simply had their hands in their pockets. " The more Irish you kill the more I will like you" he told them.

So you'll see why Churchill isn't up there with people I admire.
I'm enjoying this thread. Watching Tora repeatedly defend the indefensible is very entertaining.
13.04 : ) lol
Puzzling how TTT reads what he wants to read so often and not what a member has actually posted. :-)

have a day off I read exactly what you posted if you are writing ambiguously that's your problem.

I don't expect you to love Churchill et al Gness but I do expect you to realise that if we'd lost, you'd have lost too and the Gestapo would have made the BATs look like Butlins redcoats. The Germans would not have stopped at the Irish sea however loyal to them you thought you were.
You read it, TTT but you were unable to understand it. Your problem.
Wot I don't get is how mr brainy bolo-x aka Mr mensa can talk so much rubbish and continues to talk rubbish, it's a shame that his head is always up his April.
Ooooo. You need to explain "loyal to them" TTT. My family fought in two wars for American and British forces.

I'll accept an apology for that remark.

Question Author
18:05, I'm talking about the Irish position in WW2. What was that? Look it up.
We're not at home to Mr Huffypants.
Is that the best you can do, TTT?
You really aren't worth interacting with.
Question Author
So you don't know the Irish Position in WWII? seriously?
You obviously don't TTT.
Question Author
You were Neutral me old china, same as Switzerland.
If you address someone on AB, is it acceptable to address them as 'me old china'? Or should you have the courtesy to address them by their name?
So, Ireland being neutral means that we were loyal to Germany and none of our people fought in British forces?

You really think that, TTT? You need educating.
It's times like this that I dust off Mark Twain.
