Is your phone on the blink then?
"Aboriginal", innit?
you may of course have a different version to the one in my collection -
-in my version, Mr Drake sings "I'm a big disgrace to the Aborigine Race"
The use of 'aborigene' in Australia is now seen in somewhat the same way as the use of 'red indian' is in Northern America:
https://www.amnesty.org/en/latest/campaigns/2015/08/why-saying-aborigine-isnt-ok-8-facts-about-indigenous-people-in-australia/

However we'd have to ban a hell of a lot of old western movies to get rid of the word 'indians' from cinema history!
And of course the biggest problem woud be 'how'.
Its '' Injuns,'' doncha know?
Don't forget having a boomerang is racial appropriation.
Chico, what is the correct phrase for the people formally known as aborigines now? "Native Australians"?
-- answer removed --
Not very nice Gromit. It may have been an autocorrect mistake.
First people,

Always a safe bet
>>> Chico, what is the correct phrase for the people formally known as aborigines now?

Indigenous Australians.

From my link aabove:
"'Aborigine' is generally perceived as insensitive, because it has racist connotations from Australia’s colonial past, and lumps people with diverse backgrounds into a single group. You’re more likely to make friends by saying 'Aboriginal person', 'Aboriginal' or 'Torres Strait Islander'.

If you can, try using the person’s clan or tribe name. And if you are talking about both Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, it’s best to say either 'Indigenous Australians' or 'Indigenous people'."
Aberrational meaning:
// deviation from truth or moral rectitude. mental irregularity or disorder //

Ooohhhoooo.
First Nations people perhaps.
So, 'him fella here first, big time' wouldn't be allowed?
Since it is a lovely evening, I think everyone needs some
fresh air.
It might stop all this nitpicking
Apologies chico, my brain must be in upside down, I didn't even register the link was there lol

Me too. :-)
Sanmac@ 18:09...First Nations refers to the indigenous people of Canada.
I first read about the First Nations when I was doing some research into family history. My uncle's wife, who I never met, was Cree and referred to as a registered member of a First Nations tribe.
