"Metal body parts from the dead are being recycled into road signs, lamp posts, car parts and aircraft engines.

Steel hips, plates and screws from legs and skulls are collected after cremation and sent off for recycling as part of a nationwide scheme.

Even metal plates from false teeth and tiny fragments from fillings can be recovered and re-used, together with metal fittings on coffins.

The money-saving scheme came about as some crematoriums easily fill a large recycling bin with metal body parts every month."

If they use my hip replacements then I want to stay in my street as a new street sign lol.

are you looking for pointers?
...and just what would you like to be painted on you when you are a street sign, maggie?
Think of all those dogs cocking their legs..... Be an aircraft engine and fly like a bird :o)
I don't have a problem with this - the metal never was part of the body, just used to repair it.
This one in Bristol has to be replaced regularly, as it gets nicked.

Just found this: "Bath and North East Somerset Council makes £5,000 a year selling metal body parts to the Netherlands. All the money goes to charities."

I'm an organ donor so they can have my hips, fillings and anything else they can find too!
Erm, forgive me for mentioning it, but didn't the Germans do something like this in the extermination camps in WWII?
Can I be 'No Entry'......................

They always say there's nothing new under the sun bookbinder. Doubt if the Nazis gave the money to charity though.

Er - a little different really bookbinder.

They were killing the people first.
Can you specify which sign?

No Entry for celibates/virgins.

One-way system for heteros.

Humpbacked Bridge for the M-I-L perhaps (You can finish that one off yourselves)
Hopkirk, Those signs are to keep the inhabitants in and keep the rest of us safe.
I have a metal plate and lots of screws in my ankle, I'd like to be made into a 5th Avenue street sign in New York :)
