A lot milder here in Gloucestershire this morning. Just as well 'cos we are polishing our skills on the new bit of canal again today, ready for Friday. It's a 'new' (i.e. restored) bit of canal requiring different boat handling skills. Just a matter of fine tuning today. Then we are ready for Friday. It may well be on the national news Friday evening!
Morning mark.
Morning zhu. I'm glad you enjoyed the Tudor Arms mate. It is rather special isn't it! When I took my friends there on Saturday evening I was handed an envelope with Waterboatman on it. Thank you mate for the card and the first round. It tasted better than the rest! :o} My friends thought, like me, what a wonderful Thank you. I like the card too! :o}
Yes,that would be lovely...Vicky and I would love to have Dinner there..Alison is very welcoming,and her staff,as they say"down-to-earth",charming and friendly..
Morning alba. xxx Good, innit! :o} I have no problems with doing the PR for the Tudor arms. It's a lovely place.
Alison usually says the pubs great but the staff are crap1 Tongue in cheek of course, they are very professional and very happy.
Zhu, That would be good . Let me know and I'll book a table, always a good idea in the evening, and necessary at weekends. Sunday lunch they do salt marsh beef and salt marsh lamb. the salt marshes being about half a mile away!
One pub immediately springs to mind,alba..When I go to the match..the ritual always begins with a visit to The Bartons Arms Hotel,at Six Ways...if your team ever play at Villa Park,treat yourself to the superb Thai food there,and their own wonderful Oakham ales...The place is an Architectural masterpiece..a fitting homage to Beer! ;-)
