i got a lot of vhs tapes i like to view my tv box and tv does not have a scart socket any other machine i can use to view them tia

I don't know of another way of watching them, but there are people on here who might.
The modern TV doesn't seem to have scart sockets anymore, I can only suggest you try to buy an old second-hand TV that does.
get a skart to HDMI cable.
There is a difference to scart to hdmi and hdmi to scart. Scart to hdmi needs a converter from analogue to digital. i.e. vhs to hdmi. This would do it.

The quality won't be very good on a modern TV, though.

There are a few combination tv/video players in working order for sale on ebay but most of them are 14" screens

I think at the time I couldn’t find a scart version.
That isn't scart to hdmi Tuvoc, although it does the same job, it is RCA to hdmi. I does convert analogue to digital though, from a different source.
Just read the last line in your post Tuvok ... I know that you knew that now.
You could buy a tape/DVD player that plugs into the TV with a scart lead.
His TV does not have a scart socket
