Recognizing there's an automatic aversion to our American lifetsyle, gunwise, I would like to invite, all, but especially campbellking, to come hunt our Rocky Mountain Big Horn Sheep. (Seen here:

I've hunted them myself and with friends and relatives. In my home State in the intermountain western U.S., one has submit an application for the license by February of the hunt year, the beginning of the season is usually around October 1. The cost of the license is now up to about $250 (US) just to enter your application. The licenses are awarded in a drawing basis and a winner cannot, then, reapply for 4 years.
Only the rams may be taken, and only mature rams with horns whose tips curl at least to the eyeline.
Big Horns natural habitat is above 9,000 feet above sea level and most often found at around 11,000 feet. They are extremely wary and have eyesight like an eagle. In years of hunting or at least helping friends hunt, I've only seen 3 taken... but would go back in a snap just for the adventure of camping out at those altitudes for a week or two.
Turkeys are plentiful, but, surprise! they are very smart and wary, even in the mating season of early fall. One would sit for hours in a blind with camoflauge calling them with a special wooden box device and turkey feather to ruffle thereby imitating a female of the species. Very tasty by the way.
At any rate, the fees from the hunting licenses are used to improve all game habitat. In the early days, around 1900 or so, the antelope population in my State was almost exterminated due to unregulated overhunting... today, in our State alone there are an estimated 3/4 of a million Pronghorn Antelope (Seen here:

Duck Dynasty is an entertaining program, but took a real hit a few months ago when Phil Robertson, the patriarch and inventor of the famed duck call, chose to plainly speak his mind about the homosexual lifestyle... completely unconnected with the Duck Dynasty TV program.
The real-life family is close knit and live near their business location in southern Louisiana...
