apple crumble

when making the crumble I like to chill the topping before placing on the apple & then baking.

Is it a better result to semi freeze the crumble and then put it on top & bake? is it crunchier?

I wouldn`t have thought it would make much difference. When it`s baked it`s going to heat up so quickly it wouldn`t make much difference if it was chilled beforehand or not.
