You have a nice time?
Ya, thanks, but I got a bit of a knock.

I didn't know much about it at the time, because I was out cold ... concussed. I was taken down the mountain on a stretcher, and came round in the medic centre.

Hi jj good to see ya!!
It's ok to have standards poodi, if you've the money. However an average joint of meat is about a fiver (at the cheapest) and a bag of pasta is about 50p, you do the math and tell me- if you're literally living from hand to mouth- which would you buy?
Had a Roast chicken today £2.65

Agree boo but i shop for bargains got a massive leg of lamb for under a fiver reduced that will feed us and make another dish and sarnies as well!!
Fair enough, but neither of the 2 examples you've given is cheaper than 50p is it? At work at the moment pasta is 50p with sauce for 66p. Miles cheaper than a chicken or lamb, and are you guys forgetting the spuds and veg you need to g with your roasts?
Pasta is cheap, cooks quickly and there various ways of preparing it.
and the spaghetti's just hanging off the trees this time of year.
I have enough chicken left over for cold chicken and chips tomorrow so a real bargain. And remember, pasta is cheap, yes, but, a decent sauce to go with it isn't.
And the macaronni bushes are in full season too.
I'm just about to send my lasagne hound out to see what he can dig up, B00.
rofl, decent sauce? LOL

justin- what planet are you on? I'm assuming Poodi is quoting an article somewhere. So you're telling me, hard up families, who HAVE to watch every penny are all that bothered about "decent" sauce? They'll pick the cheapest and hope for the best, and I can't say I blame them.
