I can't decide what to have for dinner tonight. Can anyone inspire me please?

I want something nice, quick and easy. But not a takeaway.
Thanks xx

Try this... takes about 15 minutes or so prep time and cooks in the oven for aobut 45 minutes:

3 or 4 boneless pork chops
1 pound sweet potatoes (Yams will work, but need to be whole, uncanned) peeled and diced
1 large red onion, thickly chopped
1 cup Catalina salad dressing (we use Kraft's, but were in the U.S.)
1 Box prepared stuffing (preferably chicken flavored)
Salt and Pepper to taste

Brown pork chops in a couple of splashes of any good cooking oil. Remove when just browned. In same pan (with the drippings, brown the diced sweet potatoes and red onion. Add salt and pepper at this point.
Mix stuffing (we call it dressing) as directed on box.
In an aluminum lined baking dish (at least 8 X 10 inch),
place barely browned sweet potatoe/onion mixture. cover sweet potatoe/onions with the cup of Catalina salad dressing. Add the stuffing mix on top and place pork chops on top of this.
Bake in 375 degrees F (I told you we're in the U.S.) oven for about 40 to 50 minutes (meat thermometer in chops should read 155 to 160 degrees F. Remove and let rest for about 10 minutes. Serve with side of green vegetables...
one can of beans and two slices of toasted buttered bread????
I am doing thin steaks grilled and put into pitta breads with houmas, salad (rocket is best) and sliced red onion. Very quick and yummy. Any good?

Sound's lovely Clanad, thank you. Don't think I'll have that tonight, but sound's good for another night.

Had that for the last 6 night's badboy, think I'll have something different tonight. Maybe egg on toast instead.......

You know what billysmum that sound's gorgous. Think I'll pop to tesco for some steak fillets.

Thanks all x
did some meatballs in sweet & sour sauce with boiled rice - yum
I've just had fish finger sarnies with tomato ketchup and they were yummy!
well ive just made Fish Fingers, baked beans and pita bread hmmmmmmm 15mins :)
Cant believe some of the foul food you ABers are having. There are plenty of quick and easy decent meals one can make like stir frys.
I have just been asking myself the same question...

I don't like recipes with too many 'ready make ingrediants', if you know what I mean.
A box of stuffing, a bottle of salad dressing, a cake crust, ... since those are always the things you don't have at home (at least I don't).

I think for tonight I will either throw some steaks on the barbeque (even though it is snowing at the moment), or I will make an Irish Stew.

Unless somebody comes up with another great idea!
