Inclined to agree with Naz and Pickle. But this got me wondering, 'cos you can buy frozen pre-cooked mussels. They're probably frozen from hot, I guess. Anyone know?
Never had any problems when adding cooked mussells to sea food soups. Just make sure that they are thoroughly heated.
When you have cooked mussels if the shells are closed then they should not be eaten and if the sahells are open then they are good to eat. If it was just reheating mussels that have come out of open shells then I think that would be ok
Does anyone still put fresh mussels in cold water with some oat meal, so that the musels "clean" themselves ,and leave overnight?
