And what are all you lovely folk having for tea/ dinner/supper/last meal of the day?

It will be an omelette for me...filled with caramelized shallots, red peppers and enough cheese to sink a battle ship. Cheese makes everything wonderful. Followed by raspberries and some very dark chocolate.

Nothing special here, just a portion of beef casserole I made on Sunday.

It's always good to have something that you can reheat...and it's often better second time around.

The remains of a chicken and leek pie with carrots and broccoli.  The veg are frozen so need steamed for a while.

Question Author

I'd eat the pie just for the pastry! That's why I don't have them.

Not hungry today so just having some garlic mushrooms in butter sauce with some pasta, blueberry yoghurt after.  Love a cheese omelette with red peppers, Pasta 😋

German-inspired...bratwurst, mustard mash, sauerkraut (done with onion, apple and caraway) and senf.  Helped down with wheat beer. Vanilla icecream and sour cherries.

Early dinner of pork chops, spicy rice, steamed medley of cabbage, sprout, kale & green pepper.

Pan fried salmon, baby roast potatoes & broad beans.

Question Author

gingejbee...what is senf ?

I love sausages, but have never developed an appreciation for bratwurst.

Senf is German (Bavarian) sweet mustard.

Chilli con Cricket with a little steamed broccoli.

Where would I find sweet mustard?

Canary...crickets?

It's a dirty tea tonight.

1/3 can Heinz ravioli sprinkle of Red Leicester and a slice of pumpkin seed toast and butter

Yes, made with Yum Bugs whatever they are - but apparently insects as food are full of protein.

This is the first time I've tried it, I'll let you know what it's like before I buzz off!!!!

We're on omelettes too, pasta.  Caramelised onion (snap) and crisp chestnut mushrooms fried in butter.  :)

i guess it would only take one slice of cheese with holes to sink a battleship if placed right.

I love cheese

Cheese is the reason I couldn't turn vegan.

Question Author

Lol...cheese...and meat....and fish, chicken, belly pork, lamb, cream ❤️

Canary, I've always thought that if there was an insect I'd try...it would be crickets. Tell us what it was like...and why you decided to try it.

Red...no to the tinned ravioli (sorry!)...yes to the seed toast. I make homemade seed bread...it makes good toast.

Jourdain...I almost had chestnut mushrooms also!

I could live without meat
