My neighbour was making this yesterday, it’s apparently a slimming world recipe. I thought it sounded very unappetising but when I looked up the recipe it didn’t actually sound too bad, just a bit of a faff to make. You can find the recipe online if you’re interested.
Anyone familiar with it? What was it like, would you recommend it?

Absolutely love it - well worth the effort.
It doesn't seem any more of a faff than making spag bol, shepherd's pie or chili con carne, seems easy enough.
I'd give it a go, minus the spray oil (I always soften the onions and garlic in a saucepan over a low heat, no oil, then chuck the mince in, whack the heat up to brown it and drain most of the fat off before adding the other ingredients. I refuse to use artificial sweetener and spray oil)
I don't eat pasta, but I've done a cheeseburger casserole that was pretty good.
I saw a layered breakfast burger casserole on Australian celebrity Masterchef yesterday that looked gorgeous.
I'll stick to my sirloin beef salad with a home-made dressing, this evening, thank-you.

Well, a faff to me is using more than one pan ;)
It was the layering up, then grilling, then more layering up and more grilling. I like chucking everything in together.
Right ho then, Maggie, I might give it a go, do you think it would work with quorn mince, we try not to eat red meat?
We must had read different recipes

Barry, if you look up slimming world cheeseburger pasta bake, that’s the one I mean. There are a few others but not slimming world ones.
Question Author
Yep, that’s the one Barry…using a pan for the pasta, another for frying the beef and onions, layering it, grilling for 7 minutes, more layers, more grilling, a topping of cheese and more grilling. To me, that’s too much faffing unless it’s really, really worth the effort, these days I can’t /won’t stand around in the kitchen doing that.
I may just give it a go though.
