My wife thinks we should buy one, I'm not so sure.
It would be helpful to know:
The type - basket, paddle, or mini-oven shelf, something else
The meals that you cook in it regularly and how long each meal takes, approximately
The number of people you cook for
How easy it is to clean and use
The make
Are you pleased you bought it?

I know I'm asking a lot and I do appreciate your time

home-made and crumbed fresh fish. Have never tried any frozen items in it - yet!
Yeah Baz, but you’d have more room on your worktops!

I bought one a couple of weeks ago.

Number cooked for = 1

How easy to clean = don't know, haven't done it yet, but don't anticipate any problems

How easy to use = as easy as falling off a log

The make = Ninja

Pleased I bought it = Over the moon

How can I tell if it cooks more than one thing at the same time? They all show one basket, usually chips. On my own so let's say chicken drumsticks/thighs and fresh chips, or other style of potato. Perhaps a veg or two at the same time.

Canary, what have you cooked in yours?
/// Canary, what have you cooked in yours? ///

Early days, but so far :-

Ready-made pies (heating up only, from frozen)
Potato Wedges
Chicken pieces (from frozen)
Salmon fillets (from frozen)

... but my [i] pièce de résistance [i] so far is "boiled" eggs. Not really boiled, but air-fried (in the shells) at 200C for 4 minutes. Experimentation with temp and time gives a consistent timing for how you like them.
Has your wife said why she wants one? If not, then why would you think about buying one? What can't she do that makes her think she needs one? Is it to cut down on fat intake?
What's an air fryer?
Is it just a small fan oven?
Best thing we ever bought,

What is “clean” ? ;-)

Atheist, it's the running costs and quick cooking times that have piqued her interest, the claims that owners haven't 'used their ovens for months'.

Thanks, LadyCG, but we already have a similar gadget that does all of that except air fries. We use it most days.
I'm as curious as you are Barry.
I've read lots of reviews, know some people that rave about them, but I'm hesitant to buy another bit of useless tat.
My only advice so far is don't buy cheap crap.
Question Author
Totally agree with that, Ozzy. I have bought a couple of things from Aldi that seemed ideal but had to go back. At least they don't quibble.
Aldi rice cooker, Aldi pie maker, Aldi Cafe press, all cheap as chips and all binned.

I'd keep researching.
Question Author
My wife did buy a heated hair brush that spins from Aldi about 4 years ago that she uses every day, but that is a proper brand as far as I know. Or maybe it was Lidl.
Great for cooking bacon since it does both sides simultaneously.
