Washer Dryer Recommendations

I am getting my kitchen done and looking at the possibility of getting a washer dryer. I had one years ago but it was useless. I am hoping that they have improved. Any recommendations please

firstly ask yourself
do I really need a dryer ?

I used to have a zanussi washer dryer but hardly ever used the dry facility even with two young children. when it broke down the estimate to fix it was more than a new washing machine .
I bought the new washing machine and was given a tumble dryer
in the last ten years I have not used the dryer
outdoor clothes line
indoor clothes line
radiators
and airing cupboard
have proved ample with five teenagers in the house

just experiencing a drum belt having gone on a Bosch - a pain in the proverbial....

We gave just downsized to a bungalow and would not want washing all over the place, just my personal opinion and regretfully don't have an airing cupboard. Presently I have a separate dryer in the garage as struggle for room in the kitchen so thought of a joint one

I knew someone who had one and they said they got it as their space was tiny, but if you are using the washer, you can't use the dryer. If you are using the dryer, you can't put a wash on, and they didn't like it. When it had a fault it was expensive to fix. Obviously, it depends on what suits you. Think this, if the washer part fails, do you throw it out even though the dryer bit works?
