No idea JJ, sorry.
Any shops nearby ?
You like cooking don’t you jj? Have a bash at making it yourself, it’s not difficult, and you’ve just said there’s nothing like homemade.
Coconut cake with custard?

I'd have to have a lime and chilli drizzle with it and maybe a blob of dark chocolate ganache xx
Jenny we used to have coconut cake at school with pink icing served with custard -one of my favourites.
then make it, custard (crème anglaise) isn't hard to make and far nicer!
I want some now, preferably with strawberry ice cream !
Is that the cake with a jam layer on top? I remember that at School.

Ladycg recipe simply brilliant if lady doesnt see this post i will post tomorrow
Question Author
for attention of Tilly - this is the recipe of LadyCG victoria sponge who then was known as No Mercy. Please follow exactly and you will succeed.

Weigh four eggs and match that weight with Bertolli spread, self raising flour and ordinary granulated sugar - eg ten ounces of each

Pre heat oven to gas mark 6

Cream/whisk the Bertolli until pale and fluffy Gradually add all the sugar whilst continuing to whisk. Whisk in one egg at a time before finally sifting in the flour in 3 stages. Once the flour is added add one teaspoon of vanilla extract and whisk until all combined but don’t over whisk at that point.

Transfer to greased and lined baking tins and place in centre of oven for 34 minutes

Do not open oven door during cooking time

Hope which recipe you go with works well for you.
