Was about to message daughter this morning with new moggie photos...
She messaged me...her granny, my ex's mum, passed away this morning. She had a heart attack. Her other son tried CPR. She would have been 88 in a few weeks.

Im so sorry Pasta for you and your daughter. My condolences to family and friends . X
Yes pasta, we all have death ahead of us, sometime, somewhere and somehow. A certainty.
Oh Sqad - you are a meanie - now you've let the cat out of the bag :-) x
Sorry for you & your family pasta. My Christmas card list has been severely reduced this year, I guess we we must all face the transitory nature of life: sic transit gloria mundi. 88 is a pretty good score though

Good old Sqad...he's always like a bright little light shining in the darkness...cheering us up.

It's my daughter I'm thinking of now. I doubt she really remembers my mum, but she kept in touch with this granny...her dad's mum. When she and her partner drove down here, they'd often leave time to visit Wiltshire on the way.
I'd not seen my ex MIL in years but we wrote occasionally.
She was a feisty and strong woman.
I'm so sorry for your loss please take care of yourself.
Condolences from me Pasta especially to your daughter.

lol. Sqad has such an empathetic bedside manner, I go all jelly-like at his caring thoughtful words. Well done that man.

My daughter is now sending me old photos...with both on her grannies...:((
Condolences to family, Pasta. Its understandable you're thinking of daughter, at thus sad time. Always seems worse, leading up to Xmas.
I must concess, perhaps like Khandro, I have been quietly googling people of my own age before writing cards to them, just in case I've missed some news (which in a couple of cases I have).
