Just fancied a preprandial, warming sip of something on this cold, dank, dark, miserable day.
I have equal amounts of brandy and Stones green ginger wine, with a splash of lime cordial in it.
Just hits the spot.
Do any of you enjoy a little appetiser sometimes, what do you have?

Whiskey and hot water with a spot of (brown) sugar.
Just lately I have reintroduced myself to a Dark & Stormy rum cocktail. Very warming for a December's evening ...
That sounds absolutely wonderful Vagus.
Canadian whisky and ginger ale, sometimes a flavoured one. I keep the Kings Ginger for late night sipping. Sometimes I like a soupcon of PX

Ellipsis, next to a margarita, a dark and stormy is my favourite cocktail. Do you make yours with Crabbies alcoholic ginger beer? Lethal... :)
Not a huge fan of whiskey Dave, always tastes a bit of rubber to me. There again, coffee sometimes tastes of Ribena :/

What’s Kings Ginger, Woof?
Wonderful stuff, Vagus

Fevertree non-alcoholic Ginger Beer, with Clément rum, for an aperitif. Maybe I'd use alcoholic ginger beer if I wasn't planning to have food and wine later.
that fever tree ginger beer is the bees knees
These all sound lovely, but alas I have to remain alcohol free for now, maybe even nower and nower :-(
don't mix meds Theland....
Disgraceful.
maybe..
Oops wrong thread. That was meant for vicar of Dibley BLM :-)

No Emmie, I'm strictly following doctors orders. No more alcohol.
Need to get this oedema fixed.
Had a nurse at the house today to take bloods.
I love Crabbies ginger wine, bit more bite than Stones and particularly like it while sucking on a Cadbury's flake.
Although not my usual drink of choice Honey Jack Daniels and coke is also comforting at times.
I can hear the crackle of a log fire now :-)
We will be having some sloe gin later. Nice and warming.
