Have just bought a twin pack of sliced bacon and it's unbelievably salty. I can't eat it as it is, is there anything i can do to remove some of the salt?

Soak it in a saucepan of water and change the water regularly perhaps.
Soak it in water overnight, that should do the trick.
Try smoking it for a couple of hours before cooking. Pat dry with paper towels

I have soaked pieces of gammon in a pan but didn't know you could do it with sliced bacon.
Isn't there a way of using potatoes to absorb the salt? It's done somehow to reduce salt in soup.
Post it to me, I love salty bacon ;)
Alternatively, chop it up and use it in recipes which require salt added, but don’t add any salt.
