Don't Tone, I've already had a cornetto!
Besides the mivvi might clash with me vodka!!!!
I remember mivvies. But I most liked 99s or Orange maid lollies. There was some sort with chewing gum at the bottom, which we were never allowed...
screwballs

There was some sort with chewing gum at the bottom,

Screwball, pixie. My kids were mad on them when they were little.
... and don't get me started on Wagon Wheels.
Ah :-). Our local icecream van now sells a lot more than ice creams... I tend to avoid him.

Not clashing with my whiskey, Sharon ;-)
or curly-wurlies.

Back in the day they were curly-wurlies, now they're either curly or wurly but not both
We weren't allowed them Tony. Chewing gum was evil. Lol xx

Yeah, and Mars Bars.
I love curly wurlies:-)
Remember Walls used to do a rectangular type cone in the 60's, loved them.
It was like a DIY type thing, the ice cream was wrapped separate, and you got a rectangular type wafer to put it in.
Well, they are all tiny now. You have to buy five at a time. Ridiculous :-)

Yes I know. My mom said that if you swallowed chewing gum it would wrap all around your insides and kill you.
I've just had Co-op own brand cornetto. They are lovely and big.
Question Author
Yes Sam I remember those. Our ice cream man used to cut a slice from a block and shove it in the rectangular cone. Used to do ice cream sandwiches to, a slice of ice cream between two wafers.
Question Author
Right then, I'm off down to the Co-op in the morning.
I’m with Hopkirk, wagon wheels used to be bigger than your hand now they are tiny. Even my kids’ despair at shrinkflation :(
Worth it tony. Bargain. About £2 for four.
Question Author
Bad sign that when even the kids are noticing, sherr.
