Friday. It's wet out. I don't mind that too much today, I'm out to lunch but rain won't matter. I'd like warm and sunny tomorrow though, I'm on duty in the CCT Visitor Centre at Saul Junction. No visitors so no fun if it's wet. My mate's wife is coming with us and we are stopping for a nosh up at The Anchor in Thornbury when I take them home. It's a very nice pub with a lovely atmosphere, the food is excellent and the service first class, the prices are very reasonable too.

Got to get the sewing machine out today, then the ironing board. I know how to have fun...but that ain't it!

Have a happy day everyone.

Good morning, Boaty.

I see that, not for the first time, you've managed to highlight the big difference between prices for pub food in your part of the country and mine:

You'd need to add about 50% onto those prices in most independent pubs in Suffolk!

However I had a lovely meal last night and, fortunately, someone else was paying (although the prices weren't too bad for a decent restaurant anyway):

Morning Chris. Just goes to show doesn't it. That's about standard for around here. But The Anchor is one of my favourites. It close to my mate's place. You're probably aware that my all time favourite is the Tudor Arms at Shepherd's Patch.

Right on the canal bank.

I'm sure you'd love Gloucestershire Chris.
Morning waterman, Buen ... and anyone to follow.
Are you doing a repair waterman?
Question Author
The Casablanca looks good.
Question Author
Morning lina xxx yes, a split seam.

How are you my lovely?
Busy waterman, work, shopping, grandaughter. I'm glad it's Friday.
The Casablanca is, indeed, very good, Boaty. (I'd picked a friend up from Stansted and she insisted on buying me a meal at the restaurant of my choice. I've wanted to try the Casblanca for quite a while).

>>> Are you doing a repair waterman?

No, Eleena, he's sewing his pockets up so that he doesn't have to pay in The Anchor ;-)

(Good morning, BTW)

Now that's an idea. I hadn't thought of that! :o}
Ha ha Buen!! ;0)
Good morning to you.
Morning all.

Not getting too big for your britches are you Boaty? ;-))
Hi lozzy, oooh! ;0)
Question Author
Afternoon oz. I just knew someone would come up with that one! :o}

How's things in downsideupland?
20c, blue sky, slight breeze, nobody up there probably wanted to know that.

Sawdust is flying around, managed to accomplish a bit today, took awhile to get started though.

How's one and all oop norf?
Good afternoon, Ozzy.

Time for me to get some sleep, I think. (This bottle of Soave seems to be making me sleepy, for some reason!). So, as soon as I've persuaded the big ginger cat on my knee to move, I'll try to get a bit of kip.

Good night (morning? afternoon?) all.
Half a world away ... half a world away ... can't do musical notes! We've not had bad weather at all lozzy, quite a bit of sunshine in fact.
Question Author
A bit soggy the last couple of days, but hot and sunny for a few days before that. What are you making the sawdust from mate?
Bye Buen!
Question Author
You're the cats slave chris! Dogs have owners, cats have staff. Sleep well mate.
