I wanted to make a slow casserole tonight, but only have a small bit of lamb and small piece of beef.. Would it be weird to mix them?
Thanks xx

Not sure I'd mix them, have you got two small casserole pots so that you could do them separately.
Lamb and beef are sometimes combined together in shepherd's pie (particularly, it seems from several web references I've found, in 'British' pubs in the USA!). I can't see why they shouldn't be put together in a casserole.

Just because a combination sounds unusual doesn't mean that it won't work. Beef and Oyster Pie might sound odd to people who've never tried it but it tastes great. Similarly I suspect that prior to the 1950s hardly anyone in this country would consider putting pork, chicken and prawns in the same dish but nowadays millions of people order them together (in 'Special Fried Rice) from Chinese takeaways.

Be brave; give it a try!
What the heck, do what you want. Can't be more weird that the surf & turf meals one can get.
Once you have added seasonings and veggies, and they have all cooked down, the flavours will have combined. You'd need to be really discerning to tell the component parts!
No, not weird at all. Put them in with plenty of onions and carrots or whatever you were planning.
Nobody's mentioned the red wine yet!
;-)
Of course, the red wine, and stock if you have it.
If you put a bit of lamb in beef stew, you've made it into SCOUSE
Can I come yo dinner,please?
Sorry, that was supposed to read "to dinner"!!
