(sorry PC threw a fit). You can buy genuine imported US brown sauce in HoF, but it is very expensive, about �6. I hear that they prefer our HP etc over there anyway.

Just returned from a trip to Florida where both Publix and Walmart supermarkets had a 'UK' shelf with thing like jaffa cakes (very expensive), PG Tips tea bags, heinz baked beans (!) etc. Didn't notice brown sauce, but didn't look for it either.

spudqueen - interesting. i'm from California and hubbie is english so he's a bit wary of being separated from his beloved products when we move back there. had never seen brown sauce in the golden state before - think that americans are more into sweet tasting things rather than vinegar - hopefully we'll be able to find some English fare next to the Mexican food aisle!

You will find many stores that supply UK products such as branston pickle, pg tips etc but in all the time i lived in Richmond V.A i never found brown sauce. that however was in 1995-1999 so things may have changed.

I used to trade with friends and family for items such as cd's, cigars etc as many uk food products are very expensive.
