Is it true that there is apple in brown sauce?

Darn tootin'....

Brown 'soss is vinegar, apple puree, caramel, sugar, water and a bit of seasoning. That is if it is a proper brown sauce.....

HP brand uses tamarind and more sugar, dates, a bit of thickening flour and tomatoes - no apple though. So it isn't the real thing.....

Ooooops - so thats ruined one pleasure - no more bacon sarnies with the 'soss - what other foodstuffs have you a query about then? Lets see if theres anything else you suddenly want to avoid....!
