You weren't drinking in a pub in Hailsham a few months ago, were you, Craft? I overheard a woman there complaining that her work colleagues had laughed when she'd been asked if she 'knew France'. She'd replied that she'd heard of a town called 'Dover-Calais' ("where the ferries go to"), which she assumed was in France!!! Yes, despite only living 70 miles away, she was totally unaware that Dover is in the UK!
