Help I have a huge shoulder joint of pork with bone in to cook for todays lunch. On the wrapping it says slow roast shoulder joint cooks in 180 mins but does not give an oven temperature it is 2.395 kgs in weight, an early response would be appreciated - bless ya x

I'd do it at 190 degrees, but ovens vary

Thank you both I put it in at 200 for 15 mins and have turned it down to about 185, the crackling is already crackly so fingers crossed. If you are interested come back later and I will let you know how it turns out. Thanks for you rhelp x
Sounds about right - let it rest under alu foil and a tea-towel - for say thirty mins minimum - remember it carries on cooking when it comes out of the oven and then the juices will make their way out and it will be moister and more delish.

I followed all instructions and the meat was moist and tasty the crackling was good and it made the most delicious gravy, thanks all will definitely do it again xxx
