LOL, if you must..... I'm not aware of any food restrictions within the EU for items like sprouts. My neighbours take bacon and Marmite with them when they go.
Aren't they available in Spain then?

thanks for that boxtops. Want to make christmas dinner and pretty sure they dont sell sprouts. Mind you, not sure where we will find a turkey!!!!
lol - isn't the idea "to get away from it all"?!
Make sure you unpack them quickly, there is nothing worse that the smell of sweaty sprouts....
If you are daft enough.
Could you please take ALL the brussle sprouts with you?
no, leave some for me!
'sokay Owd....wotever isn't cooking them 'til he gets there......I think.
I'm sure they'll sell them somewhere over there. This'll be our 4th Xmas away and we've had sprouts on the Xmas day menu before .......
Forgot to say we've always gone to Tenerife .......
I would have turkey with all the trimmings before I go or after I get back (if I liked them as much as you do) and while away in Spain go with the flow of whatever you can get to prepare yourself or eat out. I think it would spoil a holiday to be searching out the things you can get to replicate what you have at home.
Giz, I have done Christmas and New Year once in Playa de las Americas no less! At New Year exotic dancers came round all the hotels.
I've never been for new year, just Xmas. Can't wait though, we're going on the 15th and back on the 29th, just in time for the new year.
This'll be our 4th Xmas away, all of them in Playa de las Americas :)
Yes you can take them, but don't advertise the fact you have them.

I took a joint of beef once. My luggage was 2kg over - the exact weight of the beef - and I had to pay Ryanair £40 surcharge. Very expensive bit of meat!
What would Spanish people have for Christmas dinner?
I would just buy them there.......
christmas dinner is on the 24th.
They must have sprouts there - we once had sprout salad as an option when on holiday in Lanzarote (and they were out of season).
