Wouldn't that be bean sprouts though, sher?
Our Sprouts have been simmering away on the back of the cooker for a couple of months now, hopefully they'll be ready in time!
I had a Christmas lunch today out with colleagues. I feel cheated as I have just realised there were no sprouts!
Trish and I spent Christmas and New year in Sri Lanka once. I was really weird walking down a tropical beach when it was about 100° in the shade with all the bars decorated for Christmas complete with blow up Santas and Snowmen.
You'd never think of having raw sprouts in a salad. But coleslaw is mostly raw cabbage so might be worth a try.
I'm just jealous that you are getting away from the rat race for Christmas, I think the least you can do is leave the sprouts here for us!
Baldric, someone will probably say they needed a few more minutes
in tenerife last christmas sprouts were served several times for dinner during the week. What werent eaten at dinner were rolled back out at breakfast, along with the green beans
Trust me Boxtops, is was real sprouts (and beetroot).
I do all the time but in suitcase. I even brought xmas crackers back this time although it says no fireworks! Ginger wine had to go in the case, well packed, too.
yes of course you can take brussels, don't count on getting them here!
Course you can if you must. What part of Spain are you going to? All supermarkets sell them, fresh and frozen. It's quite civilized really. If stuck, ask for 'col de Bruselas'. The sell turkey (pavo) too, mainly for all the Brits who insist on it. Have fun!
Lol, thats one of the funniest questions ive seen for ages. I know its a serious one, it just made me smile, thats all.
I'm having a Xmas dinner today, residents are all going to nice restaurant for their Xmas dinner accompanied by 15 staff for supervision.

They will all have a lovely Xmas dinner on Xmas day as well, hopefully so will I.
