Probably 6 hours minimum, but if you boil them up and then boil them up again that might work.
It depends on the bean some you can get away with four hours others need eight.

What are you using?
Question Author
Using flagolets (like baked beans)
4-5 hours will be fine.

Thank you eccles, everything is just waiting for them!
What are you having with your beans coccinelle ?
Question Author
Hi tony! I'm making a cassoulet; it's now in the oven and smells lovely.
Don't know what a cassoulet is coccinelle ? is it French.
Question Author
Yes, it's a south west dish. It's got beans in (;-)) sausages, bits of duck and different veg. All this gets assembled and goes into the oven with a coating of breadcrumbs, parsley and garlic goes on the top. I suppose it's a very elaborated version of sausage and beans!!!! The fact the beans cook with all the ingredients means they absorb all the flavours.
Sounds delicious coccinelle, enjoy.

Thank you.I'd have invited you round but ... well, I'm not just round the corner!!

Well, I'm not that far down but it's a regional dish I love.
So, Mosaic, you've tasted it too?
I love cassoulet. Delicious! Enjoy coccinelle :)
Question Author
Hey, us ABers should have a cassoulet party one of these days....
Aldi occasionally stock tinned cassoulet. I think it stinks to high heaven but himself (who I buy it for) says it is absolutely lovely.
Tinned??? Sacre bleu! lol
Give me a couple of days notice next time coccinelle, and I will get my hover craft out lol.
Question Author
Sorry, but tinned cassoulet is a no-go. They sell it in France and no-one touches it! unless you're a student or you buy it for the first time!!
