I hate asking for help and have only recently been able to accept help that has been freely offered.

I don't ask for help very much, I don't feel able (must be the control freak in me). My friends laugh at me cos I'm always the one to help anybody else but just can't seem to accept it for myself. Strange really!

I'm like China. I just don't like to put people out but recently have had to accept help. I ran out of bread and milk 2 days ago and didn't want to bother anyone as it seemed a trivial reason to contact anyone. A friend found out and has just been round with supplies for me and was annoyed that I hadn't told her sooner. I am learning that I have to ask these days.

That's very naughty Jan - you need to make sure you have got the basics in (I would be cross if I was your friend too). She will be all over you like a rash now and you will have more bread and milk than you can handle!
