Morning,

I just remembered I was in a cab coming back from the dental hospital in London and I think just before Euston Station I went past a building that had 4 (I think) stone statues of women (or possibly the same woman pulling different faces), the statues were very striking and I just wanted to know a bit more about them but I don't know where I was or what the building was to look them up. (On the left hand side of the road).

Anyone any idea what I saw or what the building was?

Cheers
China

Tut... This is what happens when you use stupid sub-sections I guess....

Sits waiting hopefully for an answer :c)
Hi China, can you be a little more specific. I'll be down that way tomorrow or Wednesday and will have a look. Were you on the Euston Road, it's a dual carriageway? If you were, the station would have been on your right, assuming you'd been to Eastmans

Yes, yes, yes... Thanks IAP!

And thank you SeeJayPea too for your very kind offer.
I used to live round the corner from that Church, and I don't think I've ever noticed the statues before. Amazing how you can go round and not notice what is underneath your nose!
I used to drive past them occasionally... back in the days when I worked... they were made too tall for the space and had to have a slice cut out of their stomachs (it's hard to see exactly where but they do look slightly squat).

I think I find them slightly sinister actually which is probably why I noticed them... Pretty cool looking though too!
They could do with a good wash!
