I'd rather have Covid than 'what's for tea?' any day! Each to their own, of course...
I have stopped watching the News at 10. I don't get on well with doom and gloom.
A salad and smoked flaked Mackerel.
I agree ,i'm having sausage casserole ,mash and veg ,cut and come again cake I've just made for pud x
I never watch anything to do with Covid on the TV, get all my info. on here! Yes, would far rather have a tea time thread. I'm having pie and chips tonight, with gravy.
Not another bloody thread about covid :0/
'cut and come again cake' mally??
It's just as well that the Covid threads and the Tea/Dinner threads are easily spotted - and thus easily ignored by those who're not interested.
Yeah was talking to a lady about making an important medical appointment .She asked me could I be a bit more flexible .I said I lean over backwards to tie my shoes would that not be being flexible enough .
it's a fruit cake and really lovely and easy to make x
Maybe the Ed could put covid related threads all together...and NOT in Chatterbank. We need a place to be free of it. Well, I know I do.
I've just had cold salmon, egg mayo, and olives. I've got sausages for later. If they don't defrost in time, there's cheese and spinach dumplings from last night.
Bacon, eggs and chips tonight. Something we haven't had for years!
Thanks mally.
iluvmargie forgot to say it's from a cookbook I had for a wedding present in 1973 x
Years ago, the broadcaster and idiot Arthur Marshall was answering a question on ‘Any Questions?’

It was about rape and assaults on women.

“Oh I’m so bored with rape,” began Marshall... I was pleased that the rest of his answer was drowned out by protesting voices, many of them male.

Bored by Covid?

Not half as bored as every nurse, doctor, carer and patient.

Have some respect and keep your boredom to your playground.
I'm not keen on fruit cake as a rule mally, but my local Home Bargains does a delicious ginger fruit cake, which I can't get enough of! It's so moist.

Allen ( good to see back btw after your flounce)
Nowhere have I said I’m bored with Covid ,have I?
I said maybe a welcome break would be good but you don’t need to comment if you feel that way
Allen, amongst the seriousness, we are in desperate need of relief. That's why it might be a good idea to keep Covid separate in some way. I doubt anyone is doubting the importance of information, but there needs to be balance.
Flemish meatballs and frites for dinner
Where has anyone on here said they are 'bored' with it??
