As some of you are aware, I'm going in hospital tomorrow for a hip replacement.

I've had lots of good wishes and nice comments from everyone on here but I'm still dreading it. Never been in hospital in my life only as a visitor. Hate to think of that surgeon mashing away at my groin area!

When I can get back on here, I'll let you know how it went.

Dave.
All the best! I wish you a speedy recovery and the fact that it changes your life in the nicest possible way.
my very best wishes 101,
Take care xxxx
Good luck....you'll be out running marathons shortly!
the best thing is the amount of stuff you will be able to do once its settled down.. you will be in and out again before you know it... so we will probably hear from you this time next week with a bit of luck

like i said before, when i was in having my last knee replaced, the woman next to me had her hip done and was out 2 days later. If you have it done in the morning, you'll be out of bed by the afternoon
Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Take care.
Hey good luck for tomorrow, it is natural to be feared of the unknown. Mr Flump had his 7th op yesterday and was still nervous ! Modern medicine is wonderful and all will probably go like clockwork and you will be in recovery before you know it. Will be waiting to hear from you x
Good luck. I guess it would be wise to try to not think of the "surgeon mashing away at your groin". Just think how much better things will be once it's all done! :-)
wishing you all the best for a speedy recovery. Do what the physio says
We'll be talking to you this time next week or sooner xx
